Design Considerations for Visualizing Large EMR Data

چکیده
The explosive growth of electronic medical data (EMR) has led to a major unmet need for efficient data retrieval, presentation, analysis, and decision support. We have been developing and evaluating visual-based strategies for efficient organization and analysis of population medical data from multiple sources to study a particular disease and associated treatments and outcomes. We believe the resulting medical record review system will significantly enhance the ability of physicians and clinical researchers to utilize the massive EMR data available to them for improving overall health care.
